This completely original choreographic event is aimed at a wide public!
The Lyon Dance Biennial is a huge mix of styles, countries and types of audience.
There will be more than 700 artists and 160 performances on twenty different sites. All forms of dance, including contemporary, classic and even urban dance will have their pride of place.
The talent of artists from all over the world and its famous parade assembling more than 4,000 participants have made the Dance Biennial into an international event.

Biennial: September in every odd year
All contemporary art enthusiasts get together once every two years in Lyon for this biennial which is one of the most important events in the city.
Through the Contemporary Art Biennial one can "feel out" new trends in contemporary artistic creation.
Here you will be able to discover objects, paintings and furniture, created by famous designers and artists, or exhibited for the first time by people who are not well-know yet.

From June to August
The Nuits de Fourvière festival is now one of the major scenes of a wide range of international festivals.
Every summer, for a period of two months, the festival puts on nearly 40 performances. This important meeting in the summer cultural scene offers a multidisciplinary programme (theatre, dance, music, cinema, etc.), that is both demanding and popular.
This festival is hosted every year on the magnificent site of the Gallo-Roman theatres of Fourvière, in the open-air.

Over the last few years the Nuits Sonores Festival has become a major European electronic music event!
A true panorama of electronic music, its rich and generous programme will satisfy both enthusiasts and those just coming to have a look. Many concerts, DJs, meetings and events are scheduled over 5 days.
NB: the sound image trail, electronic circuit and mixmove village, not to mention the sound bars, aperitifs and siestas.

Y salsa festival
22, 23 and 24 June 2007
Y Salsa is a festival with a South-American touch.
Enjoy the colourful dances and sounds from Latin America in this excellent performance, in which many international artists have performed successively (Yuri Buenaventura, Raul Paz, el Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, etc.).
There are also various activities based on the salsa and other rhythms: dance lessons, capoeira demonstrations, body percussion, etc.
